is a treatment center that is guided by the philosophy that alcohol and drug addiction is a progressive illness, treatable through professional and compassionate care, strong family involvement, education and ongoing support. Our goal is to help each individual attain the physical, emotional, spiritual and social tools to make that turn around to a fulfilling personal recovery. Drug abuse stems from two distinct causes: physiological on one hand and emotional on the other. 180 Degrees Inc. addresses both dimensions of drug dependency to help and guide patients achieve and maintain sobriety. Recovery is about more than just stopping an addictive behavior – it requires creating a new lifestyle filled with fresh insights and coping skills. 180 Degrees Inc. utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as other therapies to help identify and change negative thought and behavior patterns to help patients rediscover the self-esteem and self-control necessary for sober living. By catering to the specific needs of the individual patients, we provide each patient a better chance of getting actively engaged in the treatment process. By such catering, our patient’s engagement with his drug rehabilitation experience becomes a significant function of his own knowledge base, and the level of awareness created by it. An addict in recovery is always and in all ways actively choosing to stay clean, and with our intent to be more effective. We aim to provide support long after patients leave our drug treatment center thru our Continuing Care program and Alumni Program
A key element of our Continuing Care support program which helps our patients negotiate the transition from intensive substance abuse treatment to independent sober living is thru 12-step support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous which factors heavily into the long-term success of maintaining sobriety; AA/NA support groups serve and remind recovering addicts that they aren’t alone in their struggles, and that they don’t have to face the challenges of sobriety by themselves.
