I am Jean Dejada, 39 years old working in Kuwait as Domestic Helper for 4 years now. Last March 2022, I was able to find out that I have a Kidney Failure Disease. At first I just felt severe pain on my right side and suddenly I passed out. My Kuwaiti employer immediately took me to the hospital. That's when I found out that I have a Kidney Failure and Infections. So I did ultrasound and x-ray and after that, the doctor prescribed me some medicines to take. But even though I have been taking medicines, the pain is still there. I started to get tired easily, and if I eat even small amount I throw up. Again, I talked to my employer and we went back to the doctor (that was April 2022) and the doctor said my Kidney Failure was in stage 2. I asked the doctor, what should I do? He said, I will prescribe you another medicine, so I took another set of medicines again. Unfortunately, I still feel the same. But I did not go back to the doctor, I just continued taking the medicines. But I noticed something coming out on me like a bruise on my stomach, back and chest, actually in all parts of my body. I was scared, I told and showed it to my employer.

October 2022, we went back to the doctor and found out from the ultrasound that my Kidney Failure was in stage 5 already. Doctor advised me to undergo dialysis or surgery to remove my other kidney. I told to the doctor that I can’t go either; I will just surrender it to God whatever happens to me. He said, that is the only way for your sickness. I’m peeing blood already and when it hurts the pain reaches my back and I can't even stand straight.

One day (just this January 2023), I shared my health situation to my friend here in Kuwait and she also shared it to her co-housemaid Ms. Shirley.
