Dr. Esguerra, known for his extensive experience in disaster response and humanitarian work both locally and internationally, particularly the Expedition & Wilderness Emergency Medical Services of the Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition Team, brings valuable insight and leadership to UCMed’s ongoing efforts. His involvement signals a proactive approach to building community resilience, preparing individuals, families, and institutions to respond effectively to emergencies, natural disasters, and other health crisis.

With this, UCMed looks forward to actively and continuously working with Dr. Esguerra in developing strategies, training programs, and community outreach initiatives aimed at fostering preparedness, strengthening safety protocols, and promoting a culture of resilience.

100% 𝐟𝐨𝐫 8 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬

All the seven resident trainees of the Department of Anesthesiology here at UCMed passed the Residents’ In-Training Examination (RITE) given by the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology (PBA) on September 28, 2025.

This is the 8th consecutive year that all UCMed Anesthesiology residents passed the eye of the PBA’s proverbial needle.

For the consistent 100% passing rate, kudos to chairman Dr. Robinson C. Lui, training officer Dr. Caresse R. Gerra, and the rest of the training committee for a job well done!

We are very proud of you! ♥
