PROCESSING OF BTB COP REVALIDATION/REPLACEMENT/ISSUANCE aligned with the new BT-PSSR (Basic Training - Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities) Effective Date: January 1, 2026.
Application Steps for BTB COP Issuance
via Marina Mismo: If your COP is expiring or has expired, you should apply for ISSUANCE using the new "REVISED BT-PSSR " option.
1. Log in: Access your MISMO account at
https://online-appointment.marina.gov.ph/
2. Select Transaction: Go to the Certification tab.
3. Choose Category & Class: "ISSUANCE" if you have a REVISED BT-PSSR or an expired old COP.
4. Select Function: Choose "BASIC TRAINING REVISED OR WITH UPDATING PSSR".
5. Upload Requirements: (Use the PNG format for faster uploading.)
* SID or PASSPORT
* Colored 2x2 Picture in White Background & White Polo Shirt
* Full Course training on REVISED BT-PSSR Training Certificate
* Medical Certificate (must be encoded in your Mismo account. Check for the latest encoded Medical Certificate first before uploading.”
6. Submit & Schedule: Submit the application and book an appointment/evaluation date.
7. Monitor: Check your MISMO account for updates on your application status.
Application Steps for BTB COP REVALIDATION
via Marina Mismo: If you completed the old 64-hour BT Refresher, you are required to take the BT-PSSR Updating Training (approximately 8 hours) to incorporate new competencies, such as anti-bullying, before applying for a REVALIDATION of BTB COP.
Log in: Access your MISMO account at
https://online-appointment.marina.gov.ph/
1. Select Transaction: Go to the Certification tab.
2. Choose Category & Class: "REVALIDATION" if you have an UPDATING BT-PSSR & new BT Refresher Training, then select the Class (COP).
3. Select Function: Choose "BASIC TRAINING REVISED OR WITH UPDATING PSSR".
4. Upload Requirements: (Use the PNG format for faster uploading.)
* SID or PASSPORT
* Medical Certificate (must be encoded in your Mismo account. Check for the latest encoded Medical Certificate first before uploading.”
* Colored 2x2 Picture in White Background & White Polo Shirt
* First Page of Seaman’s Book including “ALL ENTRIES.”
* BT-PSSR Updating/Revised Training Certificate & BT Refresher Certificate
* Updated Proof of Sea Service (if needed)
5. Submit & Schedule: Submit the application and book an appointment/evaluation date.
6. Monitor: Check your MISMO account for updates on your application status.
Application Steps for BTB COP Replacement
via Marina Mismo: If your BT COP was more than 2 years ago: Depending on your specific situation, you may need to complete the BT-PSSR Updating Training course, as outlined in MARINA Advisory No. 2025-40; those with 2+ years can use their COP, but must carry the BT-PSSR Training Completion Certificate.

2. Choose Category & Class: "REPLACEMENT" if you have an UPDATING BT-PSSR, then select the Class (COP).
3. Select Function: Choose "BASIC TRAINING REVISED OR WITH UPDATING PSSR".

* Request Letter (handwritten or typed)
* SID or PASSPORT
* Colored 2x2 Picture in White Background & White Polo Shirt
* BT-PSSR Updating Training Certificate
5. Submit & Schedule: Submit the application and book an appointment/evaluation date.
6. Monitor: Check your MISMO account for updates on your application status.
