SUSPENSION OF WORK
NOVEMBER 10, 2025 (MONDAY)
Please be informed that, due to the suspension of work in government offices in Metro Manila in anticipation of Super Typhoon Uwan, the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) ncr will not be operational on November 10, 2025.

Clients with previously scheduled appointments will be accommodated on the next working day.

Public advisory

This advisory aims to clarify the BOQ Memorandum Circular No. 2025-04 under the implementing mechanism number (3), stating that "The Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) administered at the Bureau of Quarantine shall be valid for a period of one year."

This recommendation is specifically for the identified states/countries infected with the potential risk of international spread.

The certificate is valid starting on the date of the vaccination and expires twelve (12) months (one year) from the start date of validity.

The date format shall be in day, month, year (dd-mm-yy).

As of 04 June 2025, the following countries are as follows:

Afghanistan
Pakistan
Mozambique
French Guiana (France)
Guinea
Please note that the aforementioned list of countries may change based on the International Health Regulations (IHR).
However, it is the traveler's obligation to verify the vaccination entry requirements at their country of destination.

Previously issued ICVP, or "yellow card," by the BOQ shall be recognized as considered valid for official use, including travel, employment, and other health requirements.

This is to inform the public that upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), work in government offices in Metro Manila on September 26, 2025 is suspended in view of the forecasted heavy rainfall that will be brought about by Severe Tropical Storm "OPONG".

All BOQ Services (Immunization, Physical Examination, Laboratory & Seminar) will be closed on the said date. Clients who are have booked appointments will be catered the following week.
