Good Friday • Holy Week Reflection

On this sacred day, we stand at the foot of the cross—not as distant observers, but as those for whom Christ willingly suffered.

Good Friday isn't "good" because of the pain, but because of the love that endured it. The weight of our sin, the depth of our brokenness, the silence of abandonment—all of it met by the loud, relentless mercy of a Savior who refused to let go.

Jesus didn't die because He was powerless. He laid down His life because He loved us beyond reason.

Today, let’s not rush past the sorrow to get to Sunday. Sit in the shadow of the cross for a while. Let the weight of grace fall heavy on your heart. And then, when you're ready, remember:

The darkness didn't win.
The tomb won't hold Him.
And Sunday is coming.

But today, we grieve. We give thanks. We bow in awe.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU)

Isang bagay na kapag hindi binigyang pansin sa DFU ay ang hindi tama ang dressing kaya ang mga fluids (nana, waste product ng inflammation etc) kung saan saan napasok at pagsisimulan ng bagong area ng sugat dahil sa presence ng bacteria na magsasanhi ng pag butas. Panoorin at pakinggan ang ating paliwanag.

Time is TISSUE, TISSUE is TIME

Lagi ko po itong paalala sa ating mga kababayan na meron sugat na inililihim or sadyang hindi nila nararamdaman dahil diabetic na maaring may formal diagnosis at or hindi alam.

Delikado po kasi itong state na ito dahil kung ano ang nasira na ay hindi na natin maibabalik pa. Tandaan natin na madalas nakatingin tayo sa sugat lang at hindi sa bigger picture gaya ng diabetes, infection, hemoglobin, at protein na madalas po natin nakikitang typical na problema ng ating mga PINOY na patient.

Sa mag aapat na taon na po existence ng LANGGAS wound care kasama ni Dr. Salinel ay nakita na namin halos lahat ng common challenges sa sugat PINOY.

Kaya habang maliit pa ang sugat, dalhin na agad natin sa wound clinic habang maaga bago mahuli ang lahat.

Thank you to the B. Braun Team, headed by Ms. Anna Pasiliao and Ms. Lorenza Delos Reyes, for including our humble, nurse-led wound care clinic in your itinerary. It was a wonderful opportunity to share our clinic’s advocacy and community service efforts.

Our nurse-led wound care clinic, while still in its early stages, remains dedicated to advancing wound care. We firmly believe that through strategic partnerships and collaborations with various organizations and companies, we can build a better future for our patients and our community. Ultimately, our goal is to integrate these essential services into mainstream healthcare coverage, including and other insurance providers.

I also mentioned our second location, the Marbel Wound Care Center. Though it is quite far, its existence shows how our model can be replicated with proper guidance, dedication, and a commitment to serving the community while upholding the values of our nursing profession.

Finally, thank you, Ms. Sonia Lim, for your kind appreciation of our work and for attentively listening to the vision we began developing several years ago with Dr. Reynaldo Lemos Salinel Jr.

Dr. Salinel was instrumental in saving more than 100 limbs during our first three years—a partnership truly dedicated to the people suffering from chronic wounds, giving them hope through the combined perspective of medical and nursing care.

12 days progress SCALD BURN from PARANAQUE

Nasa 90 percent na ang naabot na healing trajectory ng sugat na ito and for only 12 days. Hindi ko pino post ito para sabihan na sa amin kayo ni doc magpa treat kasi mabilis kami. NO po!! Healing will depend sa katawan ng patient at sa kung gaano kaagap at ka appropriate ang treatment sa sugat.

Malaki ang gagampanan ng advance dressing o evidence based sa treatment. Somehow may chance na name memorize kona ang galaw sa kung anong product ang gagamitin. Pero di ko sinasabi dahil di ko naman madidiktahan ang katawan ng patient. AAbangan mo iyon at kapag makikita ko na may threat sasabihin ko kay doc if kaya namin o hindi kaya nagkakasundo kami.

So far ang burn na pumapasok sa amin ni Nurse Chill ay 100% naman gumaling ng maaga kasama ng mga partner na manggamot, collaborative ika nga!!

Pagbalik nya sa Wednesday hoping itong natitira nakikita ko ay mag subside ang inflammation o maga para maka graduate na. Napasok na rin pala sya sa school.
