12 days progress SCALD BURN from PARANAQUE

Nasa 90 percent na ang naabot na healing trajectory ng sugat na ito and for only 12 days. Hindi ko pino post ito para sabihan na sa amin kayo ni doc magpa treat kasi mabilis kami. NO po!! Healing will depend sa katawan ng patient at sa kung gaano kaagap at ka appropriate ang treatment sa sugat.

Malaki ang gagampanan ng advance dressing o evidence based sa treatment. Somehow may chance na name memorize kona ang galaw sa kung anong product ang gagamitin. Pero di ko sinasabi dahil di ko naman madidiktahan ang katawan ng patient. AAbangan mo iyon at kapag makikita ko na may threat sasabihin ko kay doc if kaya namin o hindi kaya nagkakasundo kami.

So far ang burn na pumapasok sa amin ni Nurse Chill ay 100% naman gumaling ng maaga kasama ng mga partner na manggamot, collaborative ika nga!!

Pagbalik nya sa Wednesday hoping itong natitira nakikita ko ay mag subside ang inflammation o maga para maka graduate na. Napasok na rin pala sya sa school.

Power of Moist Wound Healing

Paulit ulit na tanong kung paano gagawin pero simple lang naman concept, KULUBIN mo para mapabilis ang healing.

Kay scald burn bakit mabilis ang progress na halos nagtaka ang auntie nya na parang walang nangyari. This is the work of patient body when the condition of wounds is free from DUMI and dead tissue, wala naman ibang gagawin ang katawan kundi mag repair ng mag repair.

For 8 days we achieved the impossible to others. Iwas malaking gastos sa future if magka infection, iwas abala, at mas madali makakabalik sa normal ang patient.

Ano ginamit mo dyan sir? Pang KULOB ay HYPAFIX at Silver sulpha mix with hydrating cream orange tube then patong gasa at saka nilagyan ng cover. Ni wrap natin ng bandage medium para added protection.

May issue pala tayo sa paggamit ng silver sulpha na mag isa lang kasi napapansin namin sa wound care na natutuyo sya at mahirap alisin kaya its best partner with hyaluronic acid based cream para mapanatili ang moist environment at yan nakikita nyo na malinis na balat ng patient. Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD) – Simple Guide for Patients

Sa lenggwahe ng non medical, Ibig sabihin nito ay NABABAD SA IHI AT POOPS ANG BALAT ng ating patient.

Ano ang Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD)?

IAD is skin irritation caused by prolonged exposure to urine or stool. It can cause redness, soreness, and even painful rashes in the ge***al area, buttocks, or thighs.

How to Prevent and Manage IAD

1. Keep the Skin Clean & Dry

- Gently wash the area with water (distilled preferrably or if no budget regular tap water) and a mild, pH-balanced cleanser (avoid harsh soaps).
- Pat dry(don’t rub) with a soft towel.
- Change wet/dirty pads or briefs immediately—don’t wait.

2. Protect the Skin

- Apply a moisture barrier cream (like zinc oxide) to protect skin from wetness.
- Avoid tight clothing—let skin breathe.

3. Use the Right Products

- Choose absorbent, breathable incontinence products (pads/diapers with a dry top layer).
- Avoid fragranced wipes or alcohol-based products—they can irritate skin.

4. Check Skin Daily
- Look for redness, blisters, or peeling.
- If skin is broken or very painful, see a doctor/nurse.

5. Stay Hydrated & Eat Well

- Drink water to keep urine less irritating.
- A healthy diet helps prevent diarrhea (which worsens IAD).

When to Seek Help

✅ If skin is very red, swollen, or has open sores.
✅ If rash spreads or doesn’t improve in 2-3 days.
✅ If you see signs of infection (pus, fever, increased pain).

⚠️ Dakin’s solution (bleach + hydrogen peroxide) may seem effective, but it damages fibroblasts and delays healing. Evidence shows it’s outdated!

💡 Tip: Switch to saline or sterile water for wound cleaning, followed by an antiseptic based on the condition of your wound bed.

Dr. Salinel Visit

Grateful for the dedication and expertise of Dr. Salinel, who provided critical care to a diabetic foot patient initially seen and treated as an outpatient at Langgas Wound Care Center of MRWound. After the patient’s condition worsened, Dr. Salinel ensured timely intervention at Ospital ng Manila Medical Center, where an emergency blood transfusion was performed, followed by a below-knee amputation. It’s heartwarming to see Dr. Salinel, alongside his wife, personally visit the patient, offering comfort and support. Thank you, Dr. Salinel, for your unwavering commitment to both medical excellence and compassionate care. 🙏

Nilagyan ng langis, kinudkod, manas, hindi diabetic, madami varicosity from leg to calf and some part ng dorsal foot.

Ilang buwan na sugat pero hindi umuusad bukod sa sistema problema sa ugat, ay dahil din sa MALING DRESSING NG SUGAT!!!
