Tips And Tricks To Sleep Better.
Have you ever noticed that when night approaches, just before going to bed, your mind starts to get more active? Sometimes we are going through our to-do list or worrying about the future. Just when we put our heads on the pillow our thoughts start to spin out of control. Releasing our thoughts and worries during the day is an important part of getting quality sleep. Ideally, we want to address whatever is going on in our mind before going to bed.
During the day, we are so busy that we often do not realize what is going on in our minds and bodies.
We tend to think that what happens during the day does not affect our sleep, but is actually directly connected. The state of our mind during the day fades into the state of our mind at night. Tuning in during the day helps to become aware of what is happening inside. And if you can recognize your emotions, body sensations and thoughts during the day and let go of them, they are less likely to drag you down at night.
An effective strategy to address your concerns so that they don't keep you awake at night is to set aside a worry time !! before going to bed. To do this, find a comfortable place to sit and write down all the concerns that arise in your mind. Create a list of concerns on the left side of the page, and then in front of that, on the right, list one or more possible solutions. Breaking down your concerns into small-step solutions will make you feel like they're much more manageable. You don't have to fix or solve everything right away. The goal is to get your worries out of your mind before you go to bed so they don't cross your mind overnight.
Another thing you can do before bed is: Try to enjoy some quiet and enriching activities that relax you and help you disconnect from the events of the day. You can try things like taking a hot bath or doing light yoga. Part of your routine might involve turning off the TV, computer, and mobile phone at least an hour before going to bed. This helps create a buffer zone that takes you away from your work day and allows your active self to become your relaxed self. You can also listen to relaxation music, a quiet hobby like drawing, and last but not least: meditation. Sleep reprogramming doesn't happen overnight, but with an understanding of what is needed and a committed effort, you can enjoy restful sleep.
