Natural way to clean lungs
There are natural and simple ways to keep our respiratory system healthy.
The lungs are a natural filter that protects us from infections and air pollution. However, the respiratory system can be affected because of harmful substances in the air that we breathe every day.
Here are natural and simple ways to keep your lungs healthy.
Elevate your head while sleeping
Elevating the head 15 degrees while sleeping can reduce the secretion of mucus into the throat thereby preventing night cough.
- Loosen phlegm in the lungs
Have someone knock on your back. Start tapping hard in the center of your upper back. This helps loosen mucus in your lungs so you can cough it up.
- Housecleaning
Sometimes lung diseases are caused by exposure to toxic molds, which cause symptoms such as inflammation, allergies, and asthma attacks.
You need to create a lung-safe environment by cleaning every nook and cranny of your home and possibly using an additional air purifier.
- Protect lungs from pollution
If you live in a highly polluted area, you should protect yourself from the harmful gases around you. When you go out, always wear a good quality mask, made from activated charcoal or charcoal.
- Do not hold back
Coughing is a natural process that helps push mucus out of the lungs. Suppressing a cough can cause a lung infection. So use cough suppressants only if you feel uncomfortable or you can't stop coughing without medicine.
- Healthy eating
Certain foods are high in vitamins and minerals, which can protect your lungs without the need for medication. You should switch to an organic diet to avoid the risk of diseases such as lung cancer, chronic bronchitis.
If you can't completely switch to organic, try to avoid products that contain preservatives and additives, and prepackaged and processed foods.
Drink the required amount of water every day. This helps you keep your lungs hydrated and free of mucus, making it easier for your blood to flow.
Do not take beta-carotene supplements if you smoke because they can increase your risk of colon, lung and prostate cancer.
- Set of simple exercises
Physical exercise is very important, not only for good shape but also for the health of internal organs, helps to increase blood flow and allows needed vitamins and minerals to reach the lungs faster.
If you have some problems with your lungs or breathing, consult your doctor before doing any new exercises.
- Breathe properly
As a rule, the stronger your lungs are, the easier it will be to breathe.
To increase the amount of oxygen in your lungs and improve your ability to release carbon dioxide, you can do some breathing exercises such as: inhale through your nose for 2-3 seconds then slowly exhale through pursed lips for 4- 9 seconds.
This exercise can also help you manage your asthma attacks effectively.
