Should face shields be a thing again? 💭

During the past few weeks, there has been a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases especially in Metro Manila. However, the government assures everyone that as long as hospitals and clinic do not experience a surge of severe emergency cases, we can all stay using masks daily to reduce being at risk.

South Korea has begun its sewage testing in relation to tracing COVID-19 and other related viruses.

According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, this can potentially provide a cheaper and more sustainable tool in the country’s pandemic response.

It was said that while coronaviruses don’t likely survive in water for long, the country’s genetic testing methods would also be able to detect fragments of dead viruses.

According to Japan Times, the nation will begin to lift its border control measures next month as it will categorize COVID-19 under common diseases. Currently, all entrants are required to present certification of three COVID-19 vaccinations or a negative coronavirus test taken within 72 hours prior to departure.

Travelers arriving at five major airports — Narita, Haneda, Chubu, Kansai and Fukuoka — will be subject to the new framework.
