About last week:
We had our Bariatric symposium last September 27-28, 2024.
Lectures from specialists were shared revolving how obesity affects the Filipino health and how to manage it. Our lecturers including endocrinologist Dr. Florence Gan, endoscopist Dr. Virgil Lo anesthesiologistDr. Stephanie Siao neuropsychiatrist Dr. Carter Rabo, pedia gastroenterologist Dr. Evangeline Capul, and nutritionist Ms. Nenette Umali.
Of course, we had special foreign guest specialists including my professor from Taiwan Dr. Chihkun Huang and from Thailand Dr. Voraboot Taweerutchana to give some live laparoscopic and robotic bariatric surgery demos to show that this service is available locally and ready to help our fellow Filipinos with obesity.

We want to share that there is hope for a new life for Filipinos suffering from the disease obesity.

Sabi ng ultrasound isa lang bato sa apdo, meron minsan mahigit pa sa isa, nagtatago lang pala!😂

Makikita sa ultrasound picture na makapal na ang gallbladder wall na ang ibig sabihin ay meron nang pamamaga sa gallbladder gawa ng pag bara ng bato sa labasan. Ito ay isang sign na dapat nang maoperahan upang maiwasan ang mga mas malalang komplikasyon tulad ng infection, pagbulok ng gallbladder, pag laglag ng bato sa tubo at pagbabara nito. Mas tumataas rin ang chance na maconvert ang laparoscopic (maliliit lang na sugat) sa open surgery (malaking biyak).

May bato ka ba sa apdo? May mga simtomas ka ba tulad ng kabag, bloating, madalas na pagdighay, sakit ng tiyan, ngalay sa balikat o likod? Baka may bato ka sa apdo. DM lang para magappoingment ng consultation.
