The University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital Department of Orthopedics is now accepting applicants for its 4-year residency training program, fully accredited by the Philippine Board of Orthopaedics.

Deadline for submission of applications is October 13, 2025. Interested applicants may apply online and view the list of requirements by scanning the QR code or visiting https://apply.pgh.gov.ph. Please note that applicants will need to create a new account in the portal to proceed with the application.

The PGH Department of Orthopedics Musculoskeletal Tumor Unit, in partnership with the Philippine Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, Inc., invites you to Tumor Masterclass: Distal Femur, an in-depth course on distal femur resection and reconstructive options, to be held on November 22, 2025 at the Ambrosio Tangco Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Spine Building, Philippine General Hospital.

The course includes expert lectures on surgical approaches, biologic & endoprosthesis reconstruction, hands-on cadaveric dissection of distal femur on surgical approaches, and workshop on cement arthrodesis nail technique.

The UP-PGH Department of Orthopedics, in partnership with the Philippine Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, invites all orthopedic surgeons to the Advanced Arthroscopy of the Knee: A Cadaveric Workshop, happening on August 2, 2025 (Saturday), from 8AM-5PM at the Dualan Anatomy Complex, Calderon Hall, UP College of Medicine.

This immersive, hands-on workshop features fresh learning opportunities on advanced arthroscopic techniques using thiel-embalmed cadavers offering realistic tissue handling and joint mobility for optimal training. Participants will not only perform diagnostic knee arthroscopy but will also practice advanced procedures including: ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, and MPFL reconstruction!

Highlighting the course is a special expert lecture and demonstration by A/Prof. Bancha Chernchujit, Arthroscopic Shoulder and Knee Specialist from Thammasat University, Thailand.

The University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital Department of Orthopedics, in cooperation with the UP College of Medicine Department of Anatomy and the Philippine Orthopedic Trauma Society - Group Working for the Advancement of Acetabular and Pelvic Orthopedic Surgery (POTS-GWAPOS), would like to invite senior residents and practicing surgeons to its first PELVIS & ACETABULUM CADAVERIC COURSE.

This workshop will highlight minimally invasive surgery techniques on Thiel soft-embalmed cadavers and the various reduction and fixation techniques of different pelvis and acetabulum injuries with the aid of plastinated anatomical models.
