QUALITY OBJECTIVES
The Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine of the UST Hospital aims to:
Develop professional, competent and skilled pulmonologists and pulmonary critical care specialist in adherence to the entry and terminal competency specified by the Philippine College of Chest Physicians.
Have at least 90% passing rate in the Philippine College of Chest Physicians’ written and oral certifying examination.
Develop and foster an attitude for scientific investigation and research in the field of pulmonary medicine and complete at least one retrospective/descriptive research paper or case report at the end of the first training year as well as at least one prospective paper at the end of the second year of training.
Promote moral and ethical practice of pulmonary medicine with regular activities on professional ethics and attendance in Bioethics sessions or post-graduate courses.
Encourage social consciousness and civic-mindedness in the practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine by spearheading and/or participating in hospital, sectional or PCCP-initiated community service programs.
