Forticare Health Systems International, Inc. proudly participated in the 32nd Annual Convention of the Association of Health Maintenance Organizations of the Philippines, Inc. (AHMOPI) held at St. Luke’s Medical Center–BGC, Taguig City on November 28, 2025, carrying the impactful theme “The HMO Industry and Transformational Change.”
AHMOPI—the first government-recognized trade association of HMOs in the Philippines—was established and registered with the SEC on November 13, 1987. The organization continues to uphold its mission of promoting quality, accessible, and innovative healthcare services under the leadership of industry pillars: Ernesto B. Rufino Jr. (Chairman), Mario M. Silos (President), and Carlos D. Da Silva (Executive Director). Forticare has been a proud and active member of AHMOPI since its foundation in 2019.
Today, AHMOPI is composed of eleven IC-registered HMOs: Intellicare, Avega, HC&D, HMI, HPPI, iCare, Medicard, Pacific Cross, ValuCare, Cocolife, and Forticare.
The annual convention gathered distinguished leaders and experts who shared transformative insights on strengthening HMO operations and integrating next-generation technologies, particularly AI, into healthcare systems. Featured keynote topics included:

The event was further honored by the keynote speakers, Hon. Teodoro J. Herbosa, MD, Secretary of the Department of Health, and Hon. Atty. John Henry D. Naga, Commissioner of the National Privacy Commission—reinforcing the government’s support for innovation, data privacy, and responsible AI integration in healthcare.
