Ngayong Pebrero, ang Center for Human Genetics Services ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng National Rare Disease Week upang bigyang-pansin at palakasin ang kamalayan tungkol sa mga IEM.

Inaanyayahan namin kayong makiisa sa IEM Sessions 2025 sa darating na Pebrero 21, 2025 (Biyernes) sa ganap na ika-1:00 ng hapon. Sa episode na ito, tatalakayin natin ang pagiging mapili sa pagkain ng mga batang may IEM at kung paano ito maaaring matugunan.

Layunin ng webinar na ito na bigyan ng sapat na kaalaman at gabay ang mga magulang at tagapag-alaga sa tamang pagpapakain sa mga batang may Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM). Pangungunahan ito ng mga eksperto sa larangan:

Taun-taon, ang Hulyo ay binansagang Buwan ng Nutrisyon. Ngayong 2024, ipinagdiriwang natin ang ika-50 taon ng Buwan ng Nutrisyon na may temang "Sa PPAN sama-sama sa nutrisyong sapat para sa lahat."

Ito ay upang magbigay ng kaalaman sa 2023-2028 Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) na inilunsad noong Setyembre 2023. Ang PPAN 2023-2028 ang ika-11 na pambansang plano para sa nutrisyon mula noong 1974. Ito ang naglilingkod bilang polisiya at balangkas ng mga programa para sa pagpapaunlad ng nutrisyon.

Nakikiisa ang Institute of Human Genetics sa layon ng kampanyang ito sa pagbigay ng mas malawak na plataporma para sa makabuluhang talakayan tungkol sa PPAN upang magkaroon ng mas malakas na suporta mula sa mga kasama natin sa pagpapatupad ng PPAN at upang mahikayat ang kapwa nating Pilipino sa pagpapaunlad ng mga positibong paguugali ukol sa nutrisyon.

Sama-sama tayo sa pagsulong ng sapat na nutrisyon para sa lahat. Maligayang Buwan ng Nutrisyon!

The last week of February is National Rare Disease Week Philippines
Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 1989 which was signed in 2010, National Rare Disease Week (NRDW) places the concerns of the Filipino rare disease community on the spotlight. Held every last week of February, NRDW aims to raise awareness and public support for people living with rare diseases. With 2024 being a leap year, the event also culminates with a rare and special day - Rare Disease Day on February 29th. Rare Disease Day is a globally coordinated movement on rare diseases.
On February 22-28, the country will be observing the 15th National Rare Disease Week with the theme, “Share your Colours.” Similar to the multitude of colors around us, rare diseases are also the diverse. Around the globe, there are more than 300 million people living with a rare disease and approximately 6000 types of rare conditions. By sharing their stories, promoting awareness, and supporting their cause, we uplift the rare disease community – a community which is diverse but united in purpose.
Together, we can paint a picture of a brighter future for people living with a rare disease.
