Dr. Virgil Lo earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery; and finished his residency in Internal Medicine at Makati Medical Center in 2015. He then underwent further training in Obesity Medicine & Bariatric Endoscopy at China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan in 2023 and Advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound at Midas Hospital, India in 2025. During his fellowship, he has received numerous awards both locally and internationally. He holds the record as the first ever and only Fellow to earn Best Researches from all three National GI Societies (Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy and Hepatology Society of the Philippines) in the same academic year. In 2021, he was recognized as one of the Most Outstanding P*P Researchers by the Philippine College of Physicians. Dr. Lo is passionate and dedicated to excellence in Gastroenterology and hopes to contribute to the advancement of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy in the Philippines.
