Trying to figure out if something is truly from God? Here are 7 signs to help you know:

1. It aligns with what the Bible says: If it matches God's teachings in the Bible, that's a strong indicator. God's Word is the ultimate guide.

2. You feel a sense of peace despite the difficulty: Even if it's a tough path, there's an inner peace that reassures you. It's like knowing you're on the right track, even if it's uphill.

3. It challenges you to trust God on a new level: There's a leap of faith involved, requiring you to trust God like never before. It's about surrendering your plans for His.

4. Your relationship with God grows stronger: Instead of drifting away, you find yourself praying more, reading the Bible, and feeling closer to God. It's a journey that deepens your faith.

5. You seek wisdom from God more earnestly: You find yourself wanting to know what God thinks, diving into His Word, and seeking godly advice from others. It's a quest for His direction.

6. It motivates you to care for others: Your actions become more loving and selfless. You find joy in serving and helping those around you, reflecting God's love.

7. It pushes you to rely on God more than yourself: The situation might be beyond your control, making you lean more on God's strength and guidance. It's about stepping out in faith.

Share this insight and encourage others on their journey. 🤍

If you spend enough time with your kids, they let you into their world and this allows us parents to help them discover they are pretty “cool” too. 😊

The pull towards conformity can be strong. The desire to fit in with popular culture is significant at times.

Yes we are resilient but can we also work on NOT normalizing and glorifying this?

Floods don’t just destroy homes—they may also hurt our mental health! Constant flooding and evacuation can create toxic stress, especially in children. Changes in sleep, appetite, mood, loss of interest in play or leisure, and other behavior changes like aggression and withdrawal may be signs of stress or a more serious mental health concern. If you see these signs, get yourself or your family checked.

Stay safe and dry friends! 🙏

A happy and wacky Dad's day to all fathers and all who father/mentor! 😊 Thank you for always trying to make a difference in your child's life!

Parenting/mentoring is the ultimate form of leadership and a fulfilling career. It's not a thankless job - one just needs to practice delayed gratification. 😁

“Easter is a season of slow walks—where strangers may open our eyes and remind us that our lives do not end in disappointing and fragmented stories”. (https://onelostsheep.net/2020/04/26/our-emmauswalks-meals-and-runs-pat-nogoy-sj/)

Easter is also a time to run hurriedly to meet the risen Lord and flee the safe distractions of our lives and welcome the sacred disruptions.

Easter is yet another chance to accept God’s invitation to be re-enchanted with life again..a time for soft and simple fascination, and the sublime.

So may this Easter give you eyes that have a "bias for grace" (Fr. Johnny Go). May that grace bring peace and light that bring rapture to your face, burn your heart, and make you fall in love with God for a lifetime. A blessed Easter to all! 😊🙏

Sharing some "good" stuff from a deeper and silent dive into what Good Friday means using days 1 and 2 of this enriching online Lenten retreat from Pins of Light. (Because historically, to me, it had been good because of the long break! ). You can watch the recordings on their page to catch up and attend the last day tomorrow!

Some helpful reflection questions that might give us a sense of direction again:

Why am I at this online retreat?

To what or to whom should I apply the concept of having a "bias for grace"?

Who are the people/what are the things that I would like to “wash my hands of” and why is God telling me not to quit on them?

Which area of my life am I being called to make a difference and would require me to step out of my comfort zone?

A blessed Lenten week to all. 🙏♥️
