You are invited to a FREE online conversation with parents entitled:

“Letting Go, Letting God: A Parent’s Journey through Loss and Hope”

on November 3, 2025
6:00–7:45 PM | via Zoom

This gentle gathering offers a space for reflection, healing, and shared understanding about the impact of mental health challenges in families.

It brings together parents who have walked through different kinds of loss -from losing a child to su***de, a terminal illness or through difficult life transitions - and found strength to move forward.

The forum will be facilitated by experts in the field of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and includes a spiritual perspective on healing from Xavier San Juan school chaplain Fr Harvey Mateo.

Here is the zoom registration link:

Sharing Fr. Johnny's provocative reflections for us today. 🙂

If gratitude is the key to happiness, might gratitude help us too when things are not going our way? As counterintuitive as this may sound, it makes sense - if not now, then perhaps later. ♥️

A blessed and safe weekend to all...especially to our families and friends affected by the recent earthquakes. 🙏

October is a month of new beginnings and fresh reminders of God’s faithfulness. Every season carries its own challenges, but it also carries new opportunities to see God move in powerful ways. This month, don’t just look at what’s changing around you—look at what God is doing within you.

He is calling you deeper into His presence, inviting you to trust Him more fully, and leading you to walk in boldness and faith. Even when the days feel uncertain, His promises remain unshaken. Let this be a month where you choose joy over worry, faith over fear, and obedience over hesitation.

As you step into October, carry this truth in your heart: the same God who has brought you this far will never leave you. He is working all things together for your good, and His plans for you are greater than anything you could imagine. 🤍🙏🏻

Every parent with a teenager knows how highly impressionable they are so this article is a must read for us who want to plant seeds of simplicity, depth of character, and values which are quickly being replaced with materialism, hedonism and shallowness that kids get from doom-scrolling and brain-rotting.

There is an interesting twist in the end that might just hit the spot for you too . :)

Most often, the people that truly inspire us possess the invisible, intangible qualities that we all desire.

We have lived by the assumption that what was good for us would be good for the world. And this has been based on the even flimsier assumption that we could know with any certainty what was good even for us. We have fulfilled the danger of this by making our personal pride and greed the standard of our behavior toward the world - to the incalculable disadvantage of the world and every living thing in it. And now, perhaps very close to too late, our great error has become clear. It is not only our own creativity - our own capacity for life - that is stifled by our arrogant assumption; the creation itself is stifled.
We have been wrong. We must change our lives, so that it will be possible to live by the contrary assumption that what is good for the world will be good for us. And that requires that we make the effort to know the world and to learn what is good for it. We must learn to cooperate in its processes, and to yield to its limits. But even more important, we must learn to acknowledge that the creation is full of mystery; we will never entirely understand it. We must abandon arrogance and stand in awe. We must recover the sense of the majesty of creation, and the ability to be worshipful in its presence. For I do not doubt that it is only on the condition of humility and reverence before the world that our species will be able to remain in it. ~Wendell Berry

Trying to figure out if something is truly from God? Here are 7 signs to help you know:

1. It aligns with what the Bible says: If it matches God's teachings in the Bible, that's a strong indicator. God's Word is the ultimate guide.

2. You feel a sense of peace despite the difficulty: Even if it's a tough path, there's an inner peace that reassures you. It's like knowing you're on the right track, even if it's uphill.

3. It challenges you to trust God on a new level: There's a leap of faith involved, requiring you to trust God like never before. It's about surrendering your plans for His.

4. Your relationship with God grows stronger: Instead of drifting away, you find yourself praying more, reading the Bible, and feeling closer to God. It's a journey that deepens your faith.

5. You seek wisdom from God more earnestly: You find yourself wanting to know what God thinks, diving into His Word, and seeking godly advice from others. It's a quest for His direction.

6. It motivates you to care for others: Your actions become more loving and selfless. You find joy in serving and helping those around you, reflecting God's love.

7. It pushes you to rely on God more than yourself: The situation might be beyond your control, making you lean more on God's strength and guidance. It's about stepping out in faith.

Share this insight and encourage others on their journey. 🤍

If you spend enough time with your kids, they let you into their world and this allows us parents to help them discover they are pretty “cool” too. 😊

The pull towards conformity can be strong. The desire to fit in with popular culture is significant at times.
