White Coat Talks

White Coat Talks is a webinar organized by 2nd Year Medical Technology Students from University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Pharmacy, in support of the Republic Act No. 9165 likewise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002”. White Coat Talks will be consisting of lectures and open forums that primarily aim to promote awareness and impart knowledge regarding two significant and specific topics—the issues in the drug screening process, including the necessary measures to prevent them; and the different dangerous drugs evident in the field of medicine. Furthermore, the purpose of this webinar is to eradicate the misinformation surrounding the said concepts, and also for the audience, especially for future health professionals, as they get to have a deeper understanding about the different dangerous drugs and the drug screening process. By spreading awareness regarding these topics, we promote the state’s policy in protecting the integrity of its territory and the well-being of its citizens, from the harmful effects that the dangerous drugs may bring on their physical and mental health, as well as to defend them against acts or omissions that would jeopardize their development and preservation. Through this webinar, the goal of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is also supported, which is to control the use of dangerous drugs, precursors, and essential chemicals used in their formulation, while enhancing and furthering the knowledge of aspiring healthcare professionals.
