This 80-year-old patient came in with blurred central vision, glare sensitivity, and difficulty with daily activities.

She was found to have a posterior polar cataract, which often requires extra care during surgery due to its fragile location.

With precise technique and the right approach, the surgery was successful.

She now enjoys sharp, glare-free vision and a return to daily activities with confidence.

Clarity is possible, even in complex cases. 🙏

Monofocal lenses are a popular choice after cataract surgery.

They provide sharp vision at one distance (usually far) making them ideal for driving and outdoor activities. 💯

They are also cost-effective and have a long track record of success. 📈

Just add reading glasses for up-close tasks. 👍

This 51-year-old patient came with a posterior subcapsular cataract—a type of cataract that forms at the back part of the lens and often causes glare and blurred vision especially in bright light.

With limited access to private treatment, he underwent cataract surgery through our outreach program—carried out with the same focus and dedication I bring to every case. 💯

His cataract was replaced with a clear artificial lens—restoring sharp, functional vision.

Providing quality care, regardless of a patient’s financial situation, is a responsibility I take seriously. 💯

Hypermature cataracts, which are advanced cataracts that have been left untreated, can pose significant challenges during surgery.

However, successfully operating on them can be very rewarding for both the patient and the surgeon. 😌

This 68-year-old patient had a hypermature cataract on her left eye and underwent surgery with Extended Depth Of Focus (EDOF) lens implantation.

Vision significantly improved from seeing almost nothing to 20/63 immediately post op and is expected to improve further as the eye heals. 📈

This senior patient had cataract surgery with Extended Depth Of Focus (EDOF) lens implants placed in both eyes.

EDOF intraocular lenses are a type of advanced lens implant designed to provide patients with an increased range of clear vision, reducing the need for glasses or contact lenses after cataract surgery.

She now enjoys watching movies on TV and videos on her cellphone clearly without any glasses or contact lenses. 💯

Interviewed by 24 Oras GMA News about the recent viral video featuring an individual reportedly suffering from an eye infection allegedly caused by IV Glutathione infusion.

Disclaimer: I would like to clarify that I watched her videos only after the interview.

From what I observed, she appears to exhibit signs that are more consistent with cranial nerve palsy rather than an infection. If she had an infection, it is likely that her ophthalmologist has already addressed it.

There is also a possibility that her current condition is coincidental and not linked to the IV Gluta infusion. A complete history and eye examination is essential for an accurate assessment.

Nonetheless, my original statement remains valid: it is indeed possible to acquire an eye infection, or infections in other areas of the body, as a result of contaminated or unsterile IV drug infusions (not directly from Gluta or any other IV drug).
