GOOD NEWS! Our friends in Sydney have been able to raise enough funds para mabigyan po namin ng discount ang mga pamilyang gustong sumali sa Arts and Sports Camp ngunit medyo gipit sa budget.

Ano ba ang mga mangyayari sa Arts and Sports Camp?
* Ang mga bata o adult na may kapansanan (8 years old pataas) ay sasali sa mega-obstacle course at sa ball handling class upang ma-improve ang kanilang gross motor skills at coordination.
* Sasali rin sila sa wall mural painting at crafts class upang gumanda ang fine motor skills at creativity.
* Ang mga magulang naman ay may sariling activities upang ma-relax at maging suportado sa kanilang challenges.
* Magsasama ang mga anak at magulang for forest walk, Bible stories, games at rest time activities (animal feeding, vegetable harvesting).

Wow! Ito po ang cover ng librong gagawin natin para sa Super Duper Day on March 2. Bibigyan ang mga bata ng iba't ibang materyales na ididikit sa libro upang maging "touch and feel" na libro siya. Didikitan din po natin ng Braille para makapagpraktis po sila ng pagbabasa. (Malaki din po ang font para sa mga may low vision.)

Flex ko lang ang napakagandang tactile book na ginawa ng mom ng client ko for her daughter. Di pa kumpleto but already I am excited about my client using it to develop pre-literacy skills, learn braille letters, improve tactile perceptual skills, at iba pa.

For the braille letter, the red base is felt paper with black Velcro dots (good contrast!). There is also braille tape over the printed words so both blind and sighted readers can enjoy it.
