Charlotte suddenly started grinding her teeth, refusing to eat, and felt hot to the touch. I also thought her breathing was labored and shallow so I quickly brought her to Doc Nathan, swine vet of Four Paws in Manila, to have her checked 👨🏻‍⚕️🩺🐽

Thankfully, Charlotte is fine. Her temperature is normal and her breathing normalized when we got to the clinic ngek. Doc also recommends adding variety to Charlotte’s diet as she might be getting bored of the same old stuff. What a brat LOL! Kuya Toy, who used to work at a farm, said the grinding is normal and pigs sometimes don’t eat for a bit and simply start again later.
All in all, Charlotte looked fine according to Doc — still standing and walking and squealing like heck when she was given a preventive antibiotic shot because she has not yet been vaccinated.

The princess also got a facial and body massage from Kuya Toy jusko. Spoiled na spoiled aba! 🐽👑

Here’s hoping Charlotte eats when she gets home. I shall make my way to the agri store and look for other pig feeds I can add to her plate. Will also try her on other fruits and veggies aside from her cucumber, carrots, and banana. She doesn’t like leafy greens 🥴

Recently, we’ve been seeing a rise in cases of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) at our hospital. This condition can lead to urethral obstruction if not treated promptly. The blockage prevents cats from urinating properly, causing pain, toxin buildup, and can quickly become life-threatening.

Our patient Mickey Mouse came in with classic signs of urinary difficulty. We performed a catheterization procedure to relieve the obstruction and restore normal urine flow. 🐱💉 He is now stable and under close monitoring.

Pet Parents Reminder: If you notice your cat straining in the litter box, making frequent but unproductive attempts to urinate, vocalizing in pain, or if you see blood in their urine, don’t wait. Seek veterinary care immediately. Early intervention saves lives. 💚✨

Sharing the story of Madonna, a 45.5 kg Saint Bernard who bravely underwent a Pyospay (pyometra spay surgery) after being diagnosed with pyometra which is a life-threatening uterine infection in unspayed female dogs.
