𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓾𝓵𝓽𝓼 𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓸𝓾𝓽: UST IS NO. 1 TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL in December 2025 Occupational Therapist Licensure Exams.

UST posted a 100% passing rate with almost half of the passers landing in the topnotcher spots.

As we enter the holy season of Advent, the first candle—Hope—invites us to trust in God’s promises and to wait with faithful anticipation for His coming. It echoes the prophetic assurance proclaimed by Isaiah: that light will break through even the deepest darkness.

We warmly invite everyone to join the 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗻𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁. 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗹 as we prayerfully celebrate the 1st Sunday of Advent.

The University of Santo Tomas Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation proudly welcomed the team of Dr. Ke-Vin Chang, Dr. Wei-Ting Wu, and Dr. Yuan-Yuan Tsai as USTH became the first stop of the Asian tour of the USMSIT/NMUSIT Global Initiative — a significant movement toward advancing neuromusculoskeletal ultrasound education and research across the region.
On November 21, 2025, an onsite meeting for the MECO-TECO Project which is a collaborative research initiative between the UST Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the National Taiwan University - Beihu Branch was done.
On November 22, 2025, the department successfully conducted the specialized workshop “Ultrasound-Guided Interventions of the Shoulder and Elbow” held at the St. John Paul II Building Multipurpose Hall, UST Hospital.
Led by internationally renowned experts in musculoskeletal ultrasound and co-authors of the highly regarded Ultrasonography of Musculoskeletal Pain and accompanied by four facilitators from UST, Dr. Consuelo G. Suarez, Dr. Jan-Tyrone Cabrera, Dr. Jan Michael Lleva and Dr. Rochelle Saratan. The workshop provided cutting-edge training for consultants, alumni, and current residents of the UST Rehabilitation Medicine residency program, along with participants from other training institutions.

The USTH Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation extends its heartfelt appreciation to JCS Pharmacy for their invaluable support in making this landmark educational and collaborative event possible.

Last November 17, 2025, the UST Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation held their 5-year strategic planning at the St. John Paul II Building AVR. It was led by Ms. Gilda Del Rosario, an expert in quality assurance, strategic management and marketing. The event was attended by the consultants of the department, graduates of the UST Rehabilitation Medicine residency program, residents and representatives of physical therapy and occupation therapy staff of the Apolinario Mabini Rehabilitation Center.

The department would also like to thank JCS Pharmacy for their support of this strategic planning event.
