OneStop Warehousing Solutions, Inc.. (OWSI), a business unit of Magsaysay Shipping & Logistics (MSL), has officially earned its Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) accreditation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) last August 12. This milestone makes OWSI the first enterprise accredited by TESDA-NCR (MuntiParLasTaPatโ€”Muntinlupa, Paraรฑaque, Las Piรฑas, Taguig, and Pateros) under the newly launched EBET Program, and EBET-accredited enterprise within Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics.

The EBET Program, signed into law by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on November 7, 2024 and implemented through TESDA Circular No. 069, s. 2025, combines apprenticeship, learnership, and dual training into one industry-driven and competency-based framework. With this accreditation, MSL and OWSI strengthen its workforce upskilling programs while opening opportunities for TESDA-endorsed traineesโ€”including employeesโ€™ relativesโ€”to gain specialized skills, pursue National Certificate (NC II) certification, and improve employability.

Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) Cavite officially launched its new Caregiving Program on August 15 at its campus in Dasmariรฑas, Cavite. The program was introduced to meet the increasing demand for skilled healthcare workers both locally and internationally, and aims to train individuals in providing competent and compassionate care in homes, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.

The launch was marked by a mass and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by MPRC Chairman Marlon Roรฑo, TESDA Region IV-A Provincial Director Gerry Marasigan, MIHCA President Paolo Guevara, and MLRI Institute Director Alex Enriquez. An Open House followed in the afternoon, giving guests the opportunity to explore the campus, meet instructors, and learn about the programโ€™s curriculum and career opportunities.

In a landmark collaboration, MOL Maritex Co., Ltd. (MOLMAT), the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP), and Magsaysay Training Center (MTC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement on July 29, 2025, to establish a Dynamic Positioning (DP) Training Center at the MAAP campus in Mariveles, Bataan. The center will offer accredited courses by the Nautical Institute (NI) and aims to enhance the capabilities of Filipino seafarers in offshore and ocean development operations.

This initiative supports the growing demand for skilled DP operators amid the expansion of offshore wind energy projects in the Philippines and across Asia. By expanding access to specialized training, the partnership strengthens the countryโ€™s position as a key player in the global maritime and renewable energy industries.
