Facial Gua Sha is a massage technique designed to relieve tension in the muscles of the face, boost blood circulation, and encourage lymphatic drainage to banish bloat. It helps break up fascia, the connective tissue that hugs muscles but can sometimes interfere with optimal circulation.
“Just as our bodies experience stress in the form of shoulders hunched over a computer, or headaches from tension, our faces hold stress in the form of furrowed brows or clenched jaws”-Dr.Solomon

What is percussive therapy?
Percussive therapy, also known as percussion therapy, is a form of soft tissue manipulation intended to reduce muscle soreness and increase range of motion. It is a deep muscle treatment that delivers rapid and long vertical strokes into the muscle, causing neuromuscular response.

Benefits of the Theragun
In general, the Theragun has been known to:

Reduce pain
Increase blood flow
Break up scar tissue
Decrease lactic acid
Release muscle spasms
Increase lymphatic flow
Improve range of motion
Improve body awareness
Make recovery more efficient and effective (which is one of the reasons clients have gotten their own Theragun for use between sessions in both the Clinic and training)

Psoas Muscle Description

Psoas Major is a long fusiform muscle placed on the sides of the lumbar region of the vertebral column and brim of the lesser pelvis. Psoas Is involved in various activities of daily living like running, dancing, sitting, walking, as it is the primary connector between trunk and lower limbs.Movement at pelvis could cause changes at the lumbar spine, thereby altering the line of pull of the psoas muscle. Thus, it helps in stabilising the spine and maintaining the posture.
Prolong sitting and work which requires long sitting periods, tend to put psoas in shortened and tight position leading to psoas syndrome. Because they are major flexors, weak psoas muscles can cause many of the surrounding muscles to compensate and become overused. That is why a tight or overstretched psoas muscle could cause low back and pelvic pain.
