The PSCRS accreditation committee visited the East Avenue Medical Center and Batangas Medical Center last October 24, and the UERRMMMC-Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center-Escolastica Romero District Hospital consortium on October 25. This is part of the ongoing efforts of the society to ensure and maintain the quality and standard of colore**al fellowship training each institution provides.

The PSCRS Colore**al Caravan went to Bicol Medical Center for its fifth leg. Thru the efforts of Dr. Vienna Encila and the unwavering support of Dr. Rex Madrigal, the group - led by PSCRS President Dr. Joseph Roy Fuentes, Vice President Dr. Omar Ocampo, Past Presidents Drs. Robert Bandolon and Marc Paul Lopez - shared their knowledge and expertise to the attendees including residents from BMC, BRHMC, and SPH. A total of 49 participants listened to the lecture sessions by Drs. Jeryl Reyes, Michael Geoffrey Lim, Gianpaolo Cabanag and Ina Gutierrez in the morning, followed by a laparoscopic total proctocolectomy by Drs. Joseph Fuentes, Gianpaolo Cabanag and Ina Gutierrez in the afternoon.

The society would like to thank the efforts of the residents and the rest of the organizers who graciously welcomed us to their city and their hospital.

The PSCRS Subcommittee on Peritoneal Surface Malignancy, led by Dr. Marc Paul J. Lopez, in partnership with the PCS Central Mindanao Chapter conducted a lecture and live surgery session on September 23, 2025 at the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center as part of the CRS ++ HIPEC Project.

The team of Drs Lopez, Alamo, Cabanilla-Mauntag, and Manlubatan shared their expertise on this complex surgery and a demonstration from preoperative preparation, intraoperative decision-making, and postoperative monitoring.

The PSCRS fellows and trainees flew to Paris and attended the recently concluded ESCP Tripartite Meeting. Immediate Past President Dr. Marc Paul Lopez participated in a discussion involving an international panel of renowned guests. Residents from PGH had their studies presented in the poster session of the said event.
