The UP–PGH Department of Anesthesiology has once again been conferred Level III Accreditation and recognized as a Center of Excellence for 2025–2028 by the Philippine Board of Anesthesiology.

The following subspecialty fellowship training programs under the Department have also renewed their accreditation this year: the Division of Neuroanesthesia, the Division of Obstetric Anesthesia, the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Anesthesia, and the Division of Regional Anesthesia.

For over four decades, the department has played a key role in shaping safe anesthesia practice and advancing perioperative medicine in the Philippines. This prestigious recognition reflects the department’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standards of anesthesia education, patient care, and research. It highlights the collective dedication of its consultants, trainees, and administrative staff who continually uphold a culture of innovation and compassion.
