DID YOU KNOW that scoliosis is NOT affected by sleeping positions, carrying heavy schoolbags nor inadequate milk intake?

Scoliosis in a child can be from multiple reasons but the most common form of pediatric scoliosis is IDIOPATHIC which means that it arises spontaneously or from an unknown cause.

Children can be screened at any age although scoliosis is commonly more apparent during a child’s growth spurt between the age 10-15 years old.

Treatment options include bracing, physical therapy, scoliosis specific exercises and close monitoring.
