18. Does the N-ION™️ Portable Air Purifier have a filter that needs to be replaced or cleaned on a regular basis?
No. The N-ION™️ Portable Air Purifier does not have a filter that needs replacing. The method of producing negatively-charged ions and emitting them in the air as a way to clean and sterilize it is a very different method of air purification compared to HEPA air purifiers that uses a fan to draw in air and a filter to collect the airborne pollutants before pushing the air back into a room.
19. Is this the same as HEPA air purifier/filter?
No. Aside from it being not portable, the HEPA air purifier/filter uses a built-in fan that draws air inside the unit and through a filter it before pushing fresh air back into the room.
