The Company manufactures large volume parenterals, specialty solutions and irrigating solutions in plastic containers in 500 mL and 1000 mL pack sizes. Euro-Med's plant was designed and built to conform with the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practice. Euro-Med was the first in the Philippines to utilize the most modern European blow-fill-seal technology of aseptically producing sterile and pyrogen-free intravenous fluids in plastic containers. In a single process, this special machine forms the plastic bottle, fills it with the desired solution and seals it thereby reducing the risk of contamination. In 1994, Euro-Med introduced small volume parenterals in multiple-dose plastic vials with a convenient twist-off closure in 20 mL and 50 mL pack sizes. In 1998, Euro-Med expanded its parenteral line to include plastic ampoules in 2mL, 2.5 mL, 3 mL, 4 mL, 5 mL and 10 mL sizes. In 2000, Euro-Med started the manufacturing of IV fluids in glass bottles in its manufacturing plant in Mandaluyong City. The plant can produce IV solutions and specialty solutions such as amino acids and plasma expanders. Euro-Med has an extensive nationwide marketing and distribution network with several provincial depots strategically located in key cities all over the Philippines. Euro-Med is presently exporting its intravenous fluids to several countries abroad. Today, Euro-Med has become the leading manufacturer of high quality intravenous fluids in the Philippines. Euro-Med's manufacturing facility in Cavite can produce about 40 million units of IV fluids in plastic containers per year making it one of the largest intravenous fluid manufacturers in Asia. Euro-Med also offers contract packaging services to both local and multinational companies for food, cosmetics, and healthcare products to be packaged in small break-off plastic blister packs for liquid and semi-liquid preparations, an innovative packaging alternative to the sachet.
