💡DID YOU KNOW?

Quickening, or the first fetal movements felt by the mother, usually occurs around 18–20 weeks of pregnancy. 🤰💛

As your baby grows, movements become stronger and more noticeable, especially between 28–38 weeks. A healthy baby typically moves at least 10 times a day.

Monitoring your baby’s movements is an important way to check on their well-being. If you notice decreased or unusual movement, consult your healthcare provider immediately.

✨ Regular prenatal check-ups matter.
✨ Stay aware of your baby’s movements.
✨ Early action saves lives.

MCC Childbirth & Women’s Center is here for you.💗

Why Ultrasound is Important for Pregnant Women?🩷🤰

Ultrasound is one of the most important tests during pregnancy. It helps monitor the health of both the mother and the baby, giving clear information about what is happening inside the womb safely and painlessly. 👶✨

Here’s why every pregnant woman should have an ultrasound:

✅ 1. Confirms the pregnancy
It checks if the pregnancy is inside the uterus (to rule out ectopic pregnancy) and confirms your baby’s heartbeat.
✅ 2. Detects possible problems early
Ultrasound can help identify early signs of complications or possible abnormalities, so proper care and management can be done right away.
✅ 3. Monitors the baby’s growth and development
It helps ensure your baby is growing normally and developing well throughout the pregnancy.
✅ 4. Determines the baby’s gestational age and due date
Ultrasound provides a more accurate estimate of how far along you are and when your expected delivery date is.
✅ 5. Checks the placenta and amniotic fluid
It helps detect placenta problems such as placenta previa and checks if the amniotic fluid is too low or too much.
✅ 6. Checks the baby’s position
Ultrasound can determine if your baby is head down (cephalic), breech, or transverse—helping plan a safer delivery.
✅ 7. Confirms twins or multiple pregnancy
It detects if there are 2 or more babies and ensures proper monitoring for a higher-risk pregnancy.
✅ 8. Safe and painless
Ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, making it safe for both mother and baby.

💗 Regular ultrasound helps provide reassurance, early detection, and proper guidance for a safe and healthy pregnancy journey.

💡DID YOU KNOW?

Childbirth happens in THREE important stages, and each one plays a vital role in a safe delivery. 🤰🤍

🌸 FIRST STAGE – Cervical Dilatation
This is the longest stage of labor, where the cervix opens from 0–10 cm.

Three Phases:
• Latent Phase (0–3 cm)
• Active Phase (4–7 cm)
• Transition Phase (8–10 cm)

👶 SECOND STAGE – Birth of the Baby

This stage starts when the cervix is fully dilated and ends with the safe delivery of your baby. Proper guidance and support are essential during this time.

🌼 THIRD STAGE – Delivery of the Placenta

The final stage of labor, from the birth of the baby until the placenta is completely delivered.

At MCC Childbirth & Women’s Center, we guide mothers through every stage with care, safety, and compassion.

💡 Good news, Mom!
