Established in 1989 by Filipino overseas workers in Muscat, Oman, the Philippine School - Sultanate of Oman (PSO) has grown into a well-respected academic institution serving students from the Filipino community and various other nationalities. PSO is committed to giving every student an opportunity to receive quality education that is globally competitive, based on a pedagogically sound curriculum at par with international standards, while making education learner-oriented and responsive to the circumstances and diversity of its students.
These are not just words on paper. They are principles that PSO actively lives out, including through its partnership with the Asian Psychological Services and Assessment, Inc. (APSA).
PSO partnered with APSA thru its Assessment for Senior High School Potential (ASHSP), a specialized assessment tool designed to evaluate the readiness and potential of students as they transition into Senior High School. This is a direct reflection of PSO's objective to broaden the goals of high school education for college preparation, vocational and technical career opportunities, as well as creative arts, sports, and entrepreneurial employment in a rapidly changing and increasingly globalized environment. By knowing where each student stands and where their strengths lie, PSO is better equipped to guide them toward the right track and the right future.
At APSA, we are honored to be part of that journey, supporting a school that refuses to let distance be a barrier to quality, data-driven education.
