Alhamdulillah! Following our recent success in the research and case report competition by the Philippine Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (PSPGHAN), we are proud to share another remarkable achievement.

We warmly congratulate Dr. Asnoora Huziefah B. Disalo for her research paper entitled “Prevalence of Metabolic Dysfunction–Associated Fatty Liver Disease Among Overweight and Obese Adolescents Using Transient Elastography in a Tertiary Hospital,” which has been accepted by the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN).

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Sharema May Pimping for her case report entitled “Tangled Within: A Rare Case of Rapunzel Syndrome in a Filipino Adolescent,” which has likewise been accepted by ESPGHAN.

Both the research paper and case report will be presented as e-posters during the upcoming ESPGHAN Convention in Lille, France.

With deep gratitude, we also extend our sincere thanks to our Pediatric Gastroenterology adviser, Dr. John Paul Oliveros, MD, for his invaluable expertise and guidance in this endeavor. We would also like to thank their mentors:
