The Marihatag District Hospital successfully held its Year-End Performance Review and Awards Night, a meaningful gathering that reflected gratitude, unity, and pride.
During the program, Chief of Hospital Dr. Edmund L. Lamela presented the Hospital Accomplishment Report, highlighting the overall performance of the hospital, including key achievements, service delivery outcomes, income generation, and responsible utilization of resources. He also discussed the hospital’s plans and strategic directions for the coming year, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to continuous improvement, quality patient care, and sustainable hospital operations.
A special and heartfelt send-off tribute was given to Ma’am Manuela Sumaganday, in recognition of her 29 years of loyal and dedicated service to Marihatag District Hospital.
The awarding of Top-Performing Staff, as evaluated by their supervisors, and Outstanding Sections, as rated by patient satisfaction results. These recognitions underscored the importance of professionalism, compassion, and quality service.
Truly, the night was filled with joy, laughter, and celebration as the MarDH family came together to celebrate wins—wins in service, teamwork, dedication, and shared success. It was a testament to the collective efforts of everyone who continues to work with heart and purpose for the growth of our beloved Marihatag District Hospital.

Dr. Edmund Lamela leads the Mancom Year-End Performance Review of Marihatag District Hospital

Dr. Lamela, Chief of Hospital, convened the Management Committee (Mancom) for its year-end performance review, highlighting the Hospital Accomplishment Report, financial status, income, expenditures, and proposed financial plan for FY 2026. During the meeting, Dr. Lamela proudly announced that Marihatag District Hospital remains debt-free and maintains sufficient funds to support its operations for the coming year.
The committee also presented the SWOT Analysis, along with recommendations and suggested strategies to further strengthen hospital operations and service delivery. Dr. Lamela emphasized the importance of strong coordination, active participation, and teamwork among Mancom members, staff, and partner agencies to ensure the continued success of the hospital.
He likewise assigned the core and support functions of each Mancom member, reinforcing clear delegation to avoid overlapping responsibilities and to promote accountability and efficiency.
The gathering concluded with the Chief of Hospital offering simple gifts to all Mancom members as a gesture of appreciation. The night was filled with fun, parlor games, videoke, and camaraderie—made even more memorable with a festive dinner. The Mancom members truly enjoyed the evening of bonding and celebration.
