The Marihatag District Hospital is now officially a GAMOT Dispensing Facility!
PhilHealth members may now avail of FREE selected medicines and drugs with coverage of up to β‚±20,000.00 under the GAMOT Program, helping lessen the financial burden of patients and ensuring continuous access to essential medications.
Qualified beneficiaries are encouraged to visit the Out-Patient Department (OPD) and the Pharmacy Section of MarDH for proper assessment, eligibility verification, and complete details regarding the available medicines and requirements.
This initiative is part of the hospital’s continuing commitment to provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to the people of the community through strengthened partnership with PhilHealth and the government’s health programs.

Awarding Ceremony for the Landscaping and Gardening Competition was successfully conducted to recognize the outstanding efforts, creativity, teamwork, and commitment of the participating groups.
The competition aimed to promote environmental sustainability, proper utilization of available spaces, healthy living, and the importance of maintaining a clean, green, and therapeutic hospital environment for patients, watchers, visitors, and healthcare workers. Through this initiative, hospital personnel demonstrated dedication and collaboration in transforming designated areas into beautiful and productive gardens that contribute to the healing environment of the hospital.
During the awarding ceremony, the Best Group for the Landscaping and Gardening Competition was proudly recognized for their exemplary performance, innovative garden design, and remarkable effort in supporting the goals of the NutriHerb and Green and Safe Programs. The First Place winner received a cash prize incentive amounting to β‚±10,000.00 as recognition and appreciation for their hard work, sacrifice, and commitment in making the program successful.

Marihatag District Hospital proudly celebrated Health Workers Day together with a heartfelt Send-Off Program for the two Parish Priests of the Holy Child Parish of Marihatag, the Saint Vincent de Paul Diocesan College Midwifery Students after their clinical exposure, and the seven Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Bachelor of Science in Business Administration students who successfully completed their On-the-Job Training at the hospital.

The celebration started with a Holy Mass, offering thanksgiving for the blessings, guidance, and dedicated service of all healthcare workers, students, and hospital personnel. This was followed by a meaningful program filled with presentations from the different divisions and sections of the hospital showcasing the talents, unity, and camaraderie of the Marihatag District Hospital family.

A special tribute was given to the two Parish Priests of Holy Child Parish for their unwavering spiritual guidance, prayers, and support to the hospital staff and patients. Their presence and ministry brought inspiration, hope, and strength to the entire hospital community.

The celebration concluded with a fellowship dinner attended by all hospital staff, guests, priests, and students as part of the joyful commemoration of Health Workers Day β€” a reminder that healthcare is not only a profession, but a mission of compassion, teamwork, and service to humanity.

A productive meeting of the Health Care Service Providers of the CASAMA LAHDZ III was successfully conducted under the leadership of the Chairman of LAHDZ III, The Municipal Mayor of Marihatag Hon. Benjamin T. Fazon, Jr.

Several issues and concerns regarding the operation and management of the hospital were raised by participants
during the open forum. These questions were thoroughly addressed and clarified by Dr. Edmund Lamela, Chief of Hospital of Marihatag District Hospital, who provided detailed explanations regarding hospital operations, patient services and ongoing efforts to continuously improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the area.

The Municipality of San Agustin also extended its support to the operations of CASAMA LAHDZ III through the turnover of a cheque amounting to β‚±200,000.00 as its financial contribution for the continuous implementation of healthcare programs, activities, and services within the Inter-Local Area Health Development Zone III.

Marihatag District Hospital successfully conducted a medical mission in Barangay San Isidro as part of its Community Extension Services Program, bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community. The activity was actively participated in by the dedicated MarDH staff who provided free medical consultations, free medicines to the residents and enrolment of membership in Philhealth.
The outreach mission successfully catered to more than 200 patients, reflecting the hospital’s continued commitment to accessible, compassionate, and quality healthcare services for the people of the community.
