Kahit maulan, tuloy ang laban! 💖
Congratulations to our dear nurses from College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences - Baliuag University for their 400 hours of Elderly Care Training in our home. This is a continued partnership of skills training with GIZ Philippines and the Pacific Island Countries
“Today, I want to take a moment to speak directly to some of the most selfless people among us, OUR NURSES AND CAREGIVERS.
You are the ones who show up every single day, no matter how tired, worried, or overwhelmed you might feel inside. You show up when the hours are long and the thanks are few. You show up when your own heart is heavy, yet you manage to lighten the burdens of others.
In every wound you clean, every bed you turn, every gentle word you whisper to a patient who can’t speak back. All of you remind us what real compassion looks like. In quiet hallways and busy homes, you are there. Even when no one is watching, you are there.
You choose to show up, in spite of everything. And that is something this world will always need for the people who care enough to stand in the hard places, to bring comfort to pain, and to treat the most vulnerable with dignity and respect.
But today, I also want to remind you: you do not have to carry it all alone. Asking for help does not mean you are not strong enough. It means you are wise enough to know that you are human too.
No caregiver or nurse should feel they must pour from an empty cup. You deserve the same compassion you so freely give to others. So lean on your team. Speak up when you’re overwhelmed. Ask for rest when you need it. Let others care for you, too.
Because when we look after those who look after others, everyone heals a little faster and we build workplaces and families where no one has to be a hero alone.
So to all our nurses and caregivers: thank you for showing up, again and again. And may you never forget , asking for help is not a weakness. It is a powerful reminder that none of us are meant to do this alone.
Thank you for your heart, your hands, and your humanity. You are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.
Thank you.”
