Kumusta?

This Su***de Prevention Month, we’re honored to share that Aris Aquino, Co-Founder of Appleberry Mental Health, has been invited by Nuestra Señora De Guia Academy of Marikina as a Resource Speaker for their Mental Health Awareness Program on September 12, 2025.

Aris will be delivering two talks—one for Grade 11 and another for Grade 12—on the theme:
“Understanding Su***de and Depression”

In these sessions, he will guide students through:
💜 recognizing common mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and panic attacks
💜 learning practical ways to cope and manage stress
💜 promoting school-life balance and emotional self-care
💜 and most importantly, encouraging safe, stigma-free conversations about mental health

We are grateful for the opportunity to help shape emotionally safer school environments through meaningful dialogue.

Kumusta?

It’s a question we ask so often... but when asked with intention, it can mean the world. 💜

This Su***de Prevention Month, we’re sending love to those silently struggling—and reminding people managers that your words hold power.

✅ “Kumusta ka today? Hindi work—ikaw mismo.”
✅ “No pressure to share, but I’m here if you need anything.”
✅ “You’re not alone.”

You don’t have to fix it.
You just have to check in.

Let’s normalize care in the workplace.

This September, as we observe Su***de Prevention Month, let's send love and warmth to those who:

💜 are facing silent battles

Kumusta?

Today is Share a Hug Day, and this one’s for you, for me, for anyone who needs a little comfort right now.

A hug doesn’t solve everything, but it says:
💜 “You’re not alone.”
💜 “I’m here.”
💜 “You matter.”

And in times of stress, grief, or even just an ordinary bad day, that can mean the world.

Virtual hugs welcome. Tag someone you’d hug today.

Kumusta!

The World Health Organization now classifies Gambling Disorder as a mental health condition. But many still don’t see it as a workplace issue.

Here’s why that needs to change:

✔️ Employees may bet online during breaks
✔️ Stress and fatigue can impact performance
✔️ Financial issues may lead to borrowing or worse
✔️ Colleagues may feel burdened or suspicious

What can HR and people managers do?

💡 Normalize conversations about gambling and mental health
💡 Review wellness and conduct policies
💡 Offer confidential support channels
💡 Partner with behavioral health experts

It’s not about judgment — it’s about creating safer, more supportive workplaces.

Kumusta?
The mental health market in the Philippines is expected to reach ₱6.8 billion next year. But behind that big number are real people — employees, teammates, friends — quietly struggling with stress, burnout, or anxiety.

Many companies offer webinars and posters. But what people are really asking for is something deeper:
✔️ A safe space to open up
✔️ Tools they can use privately
✔️ Support that feels real, not just performative

This isn’t just about HR compliance anymore. It’s about creating workplaces where people feel seen and supported — every day.

Kumusta!

This is an open letter to the men who rarely get to hear this:

To the man who shows up for everyone — but forgets to show up for himself,

We see you.

You hold things together. You say “okay lang” even when it’s not.
You’ve mastered the art of silence — not because you don’t feel,
but because you were taught that feeling makes you weak.

But here’s the truth:
You’re not weak for struggling.
You’re not broken for needing rest.
And you’re definitely not alone for feeling the weight of it all.

You don’t always have to be the strong one.
You’re allowed to feel tired.
You’re allowed to talk about it.
You’re allowed to ask for help — without losing your worth, your dignity, or your place in this world.

Men’s mental health matters.
Your mental health matters.

And if no one’s told you this lately —
You deserve a space where you can just be.
No fixing. No judgment. Just presence. Just safety.

You deserve that. We all do.

Let’s build a .

There is no health without 💚

In 2025, let's make sure mental health is given the same priority as physical health by standing up against stigma and ensuring more people can access the support they need.
