With the new Wellness Leave, government workers can take up to five (5) days to rest, recharge, and care for their well-being, ensuring that every public servant has the space to recover and return to work with renewed clarity, strength, and purpose.

'DEPRESSION IS REAL'

Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy urged the public to care for their mental health as he acknowledged the reality of depression, emphasizing that it can affect anyone, including priests.

He shared this message in his homily during the Funeral Mass of Fr. Decoroso “Cocoi” Olmilla at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral on Tuesday, November 18.

"Today, we are reminded that priests are also human. Sometimes we forget this. We expect priests to be strong, steady, joyful, and available at all times. But the priests carry the same human frailty as everyone," he added.
