According to the "2020 Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Hypertension in the Philippines"
( https://www.philippinesocietyofhypertension.org.ph )

A Blood Pressure value of 140 / 90 or higher is considered Hypertension.

The basic work-up for hypertension are :
a) proper measurement of blood pressure;
b) proper measurement of height and weight, and determination of body mass index;
c) laboratory tests: fasting blood sugar, lipid profile, serum creatinine, urinalysis;
d) other diagnostic tests: chest X-ray, ECG
