A common overuse injury in runners, causing pain and inflammation in the lower leg, usually along the inner edge of the shin bone, between the middle of the lower leg and ankle. This typically occurs due to repetitive stress, poor foot biomechanics, poor muscle flexibility/mobility, inadequate training or sudden increase in mileage. Happy to announce that Ms Em is back on track and trail-blazing again. Thrilled to see her overcome shin splints and hit the trails pain-free!
