Pregnancy Trimester Facts
Pregnancy is divided into 3 trimesters, each lasting about 3 months.
🌱 First Trimester (Weeks 1–12)
Baby’s heart, brain, and organs begin forming
Morning sickness, tiredness, and mood swings are common
Higher risk of miscarriage, so extra care is important
Many women don’t “show” yet
Folic acid is very important during this stage
🌼 Second Trimester (Weeks 13–26)
Often called the “golden trimester”
Morning sickness usually reduces
Baby starts moving (quickening)
Baby’s gender may be seen on ultrasound
Mom’s energy increases and bump becomes visible
🌸 Third Trimester (Weeks 27–40)
Baby gains weight and organs mature
Kicks feel stronger and more frequent
Back pain, swelling, and sleep trouble may occur
Practice contractions (Braxton Hicks) may start
Baby gets ready for birth
