𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗽𝗼𝘅:
✅Ugaliin ang madalas at tamang paghuhugas ng kamay gamit ang tubig at sabon, o alkohol
✅Dalasan ang paglilinis ng mga kagamitan lalo na ang mga bagay na madalas mahawakan ng ibang tao o ng pasyente na may mpox.
✅Kung maaari, iwasan ang pakikipagsiksikan at ang mga aktibididad na maaring magkaroon ng close and intimate, skin-to-skin contact.
✅Magsuot ng long-sleeves, pantalon, at facemask lalo na sa mga pampublikong lugar.
✅Magtakip ng bibig kung umuubo o bumabahing. Kung mayroong ubo o sipon, maaring magsuot ng face mask. Magpakonsulta sa doktor kapag mayroong nararamdamang sintomas tulad ng trangkaso at pamamantal ng balat.

The 2025 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial theme: “We Remember. We Rise. We Lead.”

The Municipal Health Office of Marilao and all the Barangay Health Stations commemorated the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial today May 23, 2025 by raising awareness and encouraging support in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, held on the third Sunday of May every year, is a time for all of us to remember the many lives lost to AIDS. It is an opportunity to honour those who dedicated their lives to helping people living with and affected by HIV and continue to mobilise our communities in solidarity.

Under the leadership of 𝑱𝑪𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑱𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑪𝑬 𝑩 𝑪𝑨𝑭𝑶𝑵𝑮𝑻𝑨𝑵, Municipal Jail Warden, with close supervision of JO2 Jerry B Halog and JO1 Felleze Chelle Mae Q Panganting, Jail Nurses, an initiative was successfully facilitated HIV testing among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). This proactive effort underscores a commitment to public health, ensuring that PDLs receive crucial education and access to vital healthcare services.

Under the leadership of 𝑱𝑪𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑱𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑪𝑬 𝑩 𝑪𝑨𝑭𝑶𝑵𝑮𝑻𝑨𝑵, Municipal Jail Warden, together with 𝑺𝑱𝑶4 𝑳𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑶 𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏, UESJO, Chief Security and Control, and under the close supervision of JO1 Felleze Chelle Mae Q. Panganting, Jail Nurse, a significant initiative was carried out to promote HIV awareness and testing among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

🔹 Part 1: 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞
A demonstration on the proper use of condoms was conducted by Sir Aidrian A. Dela Cruz, Peer Navigator of Kanaryong Silungan, to educate and promote safe practices.

🔹 Part 2: 𝐇𝐈𝐕 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Comprehensive HIV testing was conducted for PDLs by the following dedicated healthcare professionals:

Under the leadership of 𝑱𝑪𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑱𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑪𝑬 𝑩 𝑪𝑨𝑭𝑶𝑵𝑮𝑻𝑨𝑵, Municipal Jail Warden, alongside 𝑱𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑬𝑳𝑽𝑰𝑹𝑨 𝑺 𝑷𝑨𝑵𝑮𝑰𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑵, Assistant Municipal Warden & Chief, Welfare and Development Section, and with the close supervision of JO2 Jerry B Halog, JO2 Johnson Poncian, and JO1 Felleze Chelle Mae Q Panganting, our dedicated Jail Nurses—we stand united in the fight against HIV.

In partnership with Kanaryong Silungan, a DOH-designated Primary HIV Care Clinic, we are committed to raising awareness, breaking stigma, and ensuring access to testing and care for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs). Because everyone deserves a chance at health and hope.
