Congratulations to our therapists, Teacher An, Teacher Jam, and Teacher Princess, who just returned from a 3-day UCLA PEERS® Certification Training in Malaysia! This evidence-based program, developed by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson at UCLA, equips professionals to help adolescents and young adults with social skills challenges navigate friendships, conversations, and social interactions more effectively. By completing this certification, we are now able to bring cutting-edge techniques back to Leaping Borders Therapy Center, enhancing the support we provide to our clients.

PEERS® emphasizes real-world role-playing, parent and teacher involvement, and practical solutions for social difficulties. We’re excited to integrate these new strategies into our therapy sessions to better serve families and individuals who struggle with social communication. Stay tuned for more updates as we incorporate these evidence-based practices into our work!
