Burnout in healthcare isn’t just about being tired.

It’s the kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix — the kind that makes you feel disconnected even when you’re still showing up.

And no, it’s not laziness. It’s burnout. You don’t need to push harder. You just need a breather because rest isn’t quitting. It’s how you keep going.

Take the pause. Then rise again, not out of pressure, but with purpose.

We need you well.

It’s Monday. And maybe it’s starting off a little heavy. The schedule is packed, the responsibilities feel endless, and the energy? Already running low.

But sometimes, the very things that wear us out are also the things we once asked God for…

A family to care for.
A job that provides.
A ministry to serve.
A business to build.
A calling to walk in.

Yes, it can be exhausting. But what a privilege it is, to be tired from something God gave as a blessing. Not every burden is bad. Some are just proof that we’re carrying something with eternal value.

So take a deep breath this Monday. Let this be your reminder: You’re not just busy, you’re walking in purpose. You’re not just tired, you’re trusted. And God’s grace is more than enough to carry you through the week ahead. 🙏🏻🤍

While others are quick to blame our healthcare workers for poor health services and customer service, we at Selah choose to do things differently.

Today, we held our very first 𝙆𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙘𝙝—a space created especially for our healthcare workers to connect and take care of their own well-being. Over coffee and honest conversations, they shared stories, challenges, and quiet laughs with Selah’s resident psychologist, Dr. Rose Anelyn V. Ceniza.

This pilot session gathered our Resilience Team—doctors, nurses and program managers who will soon roll out this experience to the rest of DOPMC’s workforce.

Happening just days after our new governor assumes office, this initiative aligns with the administration’s 10-point agenda to improve healthcare delivery across the province.

Better care starts from within. 🩵

Davao Oriental took its local mental health advocacy to the international scene as delegates from the Provincial Health Office Davao Oriental and Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center’s pioneering Mental Wellness Hub, Selah:, joined the 22nd European Congress of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP 2025) held on May 21–24 at the O2 Universum in Prague, Czech Republic.

The team was composed of Dr. Reden V. Bersaldo, Provincial Health Officer II and Concurrent Chief of DOPMC, Dr. Rose Anelyn V. Ceniza, Selah’s resident psychologist, and Mr. Rezmarquel Pann, Provincial Mental Health Program Manager.

The highlight of their participation was the presentation of their research, “Mental Health Status of Filipino Healthcare Workers: Challenges and Interventions,” a study grounded on the province’s experience in supporting frontline workers through evidence-based mental health strategies.

The team also attended various sessions and learned global best practices in organizational psychology, mental health systems, and workplace wellness, gaining insights they aim to bring home to further strengthen Davao Oriental’s mental health programs and services.

This milestone is aimed at elevating the province’s mental health care and workplace well-being not just locally, but with a global mindset.

A hundred college students from Davao Oriental State University (DORSU) and Mati Doctors College (MDC) gathered earlier today for the 4-in-1 Health Fest: Mind, Body, and Future held at the DOPMC AVR.

Organized by the Provincial Health Office in partnership with the Department of Health, the event marked a unified celebration of World No To***co Day, Hypertension Awareness Month, Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, and Mental Health Action Day.

Through engaging talks and interactive sessions, students learned about the importance of prevention, early detection, and mental wellness. The activity aimed to inspire these student nurses to take charge of their health.

By focusing on youth participation, the health fest emphasizes the role of education in shaping a healthier and more empowered generation.
