The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental, through the Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center (DOPMC), officially launched the construction of three major healthcare facilities through a groundbreaking ceremony held on July 17, 2025.
The new projects include the Ambulatory Care Clinic, Patientโs Halfway House, and a Multipurpose Buildingall geared toward enhancing the provinceโs healthcare service delivery and ensuring better access to medical care, especially for indigent and far-flung communities.
In his message during the ceremony, Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang reiterated the administrationโs dedication to inclusive and responsive public service.
Alongside the groundbreaking, the Department of Health - Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) XI also turned over essential medical equipment under the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP), further boosting the hospitalโs capacity to deliver efficient and life-saving services.
Once completed, these developments will significantly improve the overall capacity and efficiency of DOPMC and reflect the provincial governmentโs strong commitment to responsive and people-centered healthcare.
