the appropriate medical facility for the injury reported and gathering injury reports for analysis of the clients. Medcor Triage is a service developed for business to determine whether injured or sick employees of their US business clients require medical evaluation and treatment or may care for their minor injuries with very simple self-care. Nurses provide the service over the telephone using basic decision trees or “algorithms” developed by Medcor. Evidence in medical science is used to develop these algorithms. The nurse facilitates triage by gathering information from the employee and their supervisor. With this information, algorithm questions may be accurately answered. Triage nurses do not make diagnoses or act as a gatekeeper to care – they simply help decide if further medical evaluation and treatment or self-care is best. edcor has concluded the testing of its own preparatory software AFKAM (Phase One Operations) in the Philippine Branch Office and presently using this proprietary-owned software to manage its own Telephonic Nurse Triage Call Center operations.
