Our Minglanilla & Talisay Playgroup kids enjoyed every splash, giggle, and bubble at SM Seaside’s Water Play 🏖️🫧 … but what made it extra meaningful was their generous storybook donations 📚❤️ for SM Seaside City Cebu (Official)’s cause.

Thank you dear parents for always helping us give the kids these magical core memories. Truly, these are the days we’ll all cherish forever. 🥰👏

We are excited to welcome OT Jamie as the new Branch Manager of Take Steps Therapy Center – Lapu-Lapu City!

With over 7 years of clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy, Jamie brings both skill and heart to her work with children and families. She previously served as Senior Occupational Therapist at our Talisay branch, where she led with excellence for over 2 years.

Jamie is also the founder of Play N’ Connect — a hobby-based community that promotes meaningful connection through play. Her belief in the power of hobbies and creativity shines through in everything she does, whether in therapy sessions or team leadership.

In addition to her clinical work, Jamie has served as a Velez College instructor for 4 years, mentoring the next generation of occupational therapists with passion and purpose.

An advocate for hobbies as a form of self-care, connection, and growth, Jamie brings not just leadership but also a deep commitment to play-based, relationship-centered therapy.

Foundations for speech and languange ✨

As a speech and language pathologist, I often meet persistent and loving parents who are eager to put their child in speech/language therapy, but are subtly hesitant when I recommend occupational therapy (OT) simultaneously. Their usual response? “Speech lang naman ang concern, bakit kailangan pa ng OT?” 💭

‼️ Here’s what I try to explain:
A child has to be (1) regulated, (2) engaged, and (3) able to attend before meaningful communication can develop. That’s where occupational therapy comes in. It helps build foundations for communication through movement, play, and sensory work that support the brain, which directly support speech and language progress

Think of OT as the “soil” that speech grows from 🌱 Without it, overall therapy progress may be slow or stalled

Let’s give children what they truly need; not just speech, but the support that helps speech come alive 🗣️ I know it can feel like “extra” work or expense, but when we give them what they truly need, that’s when the real breakthroughs begin 💚

We are incredibly proud to celebrate OT Louise for officially becoming a Certified Ayres Sensory Integration (SI) Specialist through the Collaborative for Leadership in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI) program! 👏

After successfully completing all six intensive modules of the CLASI EASI training (Batch 2024–2025), Louise has demonstrated exceptional dedication, perseverance, and passion for advancing evidence-based sensory integration practices. This certification is not only a testament to her commitment to professional growth but also a reflection of her heart for the children and families we serve.

Her achievement marks a significant step forward—not just personally, but for our entire program. With OT Louise’s advanced SI training, we are now even better equipped to provide targeted, meaningful, and play-based interventions that meet the diverse sensory needs of our kids. This enhances our ability to design individualized therapy plans grounded in the principles of Ayres Sensory Integration®, resulting in more effective outcomes and empowered families.

🥋 Taekwondo Week at Summer Camp was a HIT! 💥

Our little campers had an absolute blast kicking, punching, and moving with purpose during Taekwondo Week! Their focus, agility, and joy were on full display — and it was incredible to see their confidence grow with every move. 💪✨

Huge gamsahamnida to our amazing guest Taekwondo coaches for bringing such energy, fun, and valuable lessons to the dojang! 👏

At camp, we believe in learning through play — and this week proved once again that a busy body is a happy body! 😄
