The Apple Watch ECG app is a built-in feature that allows users to record a single-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) directly from their wrist.

How it works:
The watch uses electrodes on the back crystal and the Digital Crown. When you place your finger on the crown, it completes a circuit across your body, allowing the device to record the heartโ€™s electrical activityโ€”similar to Lead I in a standard ECG.

What it detects:
โ€ข Normal sinus rhythm
โ€ข Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
โ€ข High or low heart rate alerts
โ€ข Inconclusive readings (if signal is unclear)

Recording process:
โ€ข Takes about 30 seconds
โ€ข Results are stored in the Apple Health app
โ€ข Can be exported as a PDF and shared with healthcare providers

Limitations:
โ€ข It is a single-lead ECG (not a full 12-lead ECG)
โ€ข Cannot detect all arrhythmias or conditions like heart attacks
โ€ข Should not replace professional medical evaluation

Summary:
The Apple Watch ECG is a convenient screening tool for basic heart rhythm monitoring, especially useful for early detection of AFib, but it is not a substitute for clinical-grade diagnostics.

I saw this post in one of the FB groups. So i think i need to explain how things work. Kasi unfair naman po ata sa mga kasamahan nating mang gagamot kapag ganito ang mindset natin.

I understand po yung concern about follow-up fees, pero letโ€™s also be fair to the medical side.

Ang follow-up check-up po ay hindi lang โ€˜silip kung gumaling ka.โ€™
It involves reassessment, clinical judgment, and decision-makingโ€”kung effective ba ang gamot, may kailangan bang baguhin, may komplikasyon ba, o may ibang diagnosis na dapat i-consider.

Every visit, whether first or follow-up, still uses:
โ€ข training and expertise ng doctor (years of study and practice)
โ€ข clinic time and scheduling , rent, gas papuntanh clinic para lang matignan ka
โ€ข medical responsibility (legal and ethical)
โ€ข sometimes additional procedures or reassessment tools

Hindi po siya simpleng โ€œtingin lang.โ€

Kung โ€œtingin langโ€ pala,
bakit hindi na lang tayo mag-self check sa salamin? ๐Ÿ‘€. Or tanungin si Mr. Google. Or wag na mag ff up diba? Tingin lang naman eh ๐Ÿ˜‰

Letโ€™s be real

That said, iba-iba po ang practiceโ€”may doctors na nagbibigay ng free follow-up within a certain period, may discounted, at may regular feeโ€”depende sa clinic policy.

Bottom line:
Hindi po pagbebenta ng serbisyo ang follow-upโ€”parte siya ng tamang pag-aalaga sa pasyente.
And just like any professional service, it has value.

โ€œLife is like a ferris wheelโ€”each turn brings you back around, but you never see the same view twice. What once felt distant slowly comes into focus, and what you thought you understood reveals new meaning with every rise and fall. In those quiet moments at the top, you glimpse clarity; in the descent, you gather strength. And though the cycle repeats, you are never the same person who stepped onโ€”you carry every view, every feeling, every lesson with you as the wheel keeps turning.โ€

"How Sunsets Heal the Body"

The specific golden-to-red light of sunset serves as a biological anchor for your internal clock (the suprachiasmatic nucleus).
* Melatonin Synthesis: As the sun dips and blue light wavelengths decrease, the pineal gland begins to prep the release of melatonin, the hormone responsible for sleep.
* Color Temperature Sensitivity: Exposure to the warm, low-intensity light of sunset (roughly 2000K to 3000K) signals the body to lower its core temperature and heart rate in preparation for rest.
* Cortisol Drop: Unlike the morning sunset, which spikes cortisol to wake you up, the evening transition is associated with a natural decline in cortisol levels, reducing systemic "readiness" stress.

Psychologically, sunsets are a potent tool for stress recovery theory.
* Dopamine & Serotonin: The vibrant colors and the "vastness" of a sunset can trigger a release of dopamine.
* Parasympathetic Activation: Watching a sunset can move the body from the "fight or flight" sympathetic nervous system to the "rest and digest" parasympathetic nervous system, which has been shown to lower blood pressure and improve digestion.
