Ophthalmoscope nun

Ophthalmoscope nun is a medical diagnosis device of the retinal disease by observing the retina of the animals. It comprises the objective lens, the relay lens and the eyepiece.

The illuminating optical system is crucial for visualizing the retina through the pupil because the pupil's small size limits the amount of light that can reach the retina, making it difficult to see the structures within. This system focuses light onto the retina, allowing for a clearer image of the eye's interior.

In veterinary use, the need for a suitable FOV (field of view) and focus mechanism is equally important for examining animal eyes, as individual animals may also have differences in their eye structure and vision.

The focus mechanism is adjusted by moving the objective lens to compensate for individual variations in eye refractive power, similar to how eyepiece movement works in microscopes and telescopes.
