Getting to the Root of the Problem — Literally 🦷

What you’re looking at is the dental pulp — the soft, living core of a tooth — freshly removed during an endodontic (root canal) procedure.
This delicate tissue contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue, all enclosed within the hard walls of dentin.

When the pulp becomes irreversibly inflamed or infected due to deep decay, trauma, or cracks, it can cause intense, unrelenting pain. The only way to save the tooth and stop the infection from spreading is to remove the diseased pulp, clean and disinfect the canals, and seal them.

It might look dramatic, but this procedure is what allows us to keep the tooth functional in the long term — pain-free and preserved in your mouth.
