“Shot puno?” 🍻
Parang masaya… pero hindi always safe.
Hindi kailangang every gathering may tagay para maging enjoyable. This April, Alcohol Awareness Month reminds us: pwede mag-enjoy without overdoing it.
From a medical perspective, simple reminders lang:
• Know your limits — iba-iba ang tolerance ng katawan per person
• Magpahinga between drinks — biglaang sunod-sunod = mas mataas risk ng intoxication
• Kumain bago uminom — food helps slow alcohol absorption
• Stay hydrated — tubig is your best “sidekick”
• Huwag gawing habit ang “stress drink” or “everyday inom”
• If frequent na ang pag-inom or may symptoms (palpitations, sleep issues, liver discomfort), better magpa-check up kaysa maghintay ng warning signs
Hindi bawal ang inuman. Pero ang katawan, may sariling limit — at hindi siya mahilig sa surprise overload.
Bottom line:
Masaya ang bonding. Mas masaya kung healthy ka pa bukas. 💙
