His research interests include psychopathology, trauma, and antisocial behaviors in adolescence. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from De La Salle University-Manila. STATEMENT OF INTENT AND VISION FOR PAP

As a nominated candidate, I envision a future for psychological practice in the Philippines grounded in unwavering ethical principles, robust research, and a profound commitment to our youth and their families.

1. Ethical Clinical Practice: My vision emphasizes mandatory, culturally relevant ethics training for all psychologists, strengthening vital supervision and peer consultation. I am committed to improving grievance mechanisms and promoting accountability across our profession. Furthermore, I believe it is crucial to highlight the importance of cultural competence in ethical decision-making, always considering the diverse Filipino contexts that shape our work.

2. Research Integration: I advocate for advancing Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) by actively encouraging the use of empirically supported interventions and providing comprehensive training on research evaluation. My plan promotes local, culturally relevant research initiatives, ensuring effective dissemination of findings, and fostering stronger collaboration between academia and clinical practice.

3. Youth and Family Welfare: Key to my vision are initiatives to increase access to vital youth mental health services, developing impactful preventive and early intervention programs in our schools, and championing family-centered approaches to care. I also call for strong advocacy for policies that protect and genuinely enhance the psychological well-being of our children and families across the Philippines.

Apart from these, I believe that PAP and Philippine psychological practice and development deserve their rightful space on the international stage. Thus, by focusing on these points, elevating psychology from within the organization will allow our profession not only to thrive but to flourish and be felt across members, institutions and borders.
