Isa sa mga sakit na maaaring makuha sa tubig-baha ay ang leptospirosis. Isa sa mga paraan upang mabawasan ang panganib na dala ng sakit ay ang agarang pag-inom ng Doxycycline. Pinapayong inumin ito mula isa hanggang tatlong araw matapos ma-expose sa baha.

Hindi maaaring uminom nito ng walang reseta mula sa ating mga doktor, at mayroong alternative na ibinibigay para sa mga buntis at sa mga bata o mga pasyenteng nakitaan ng allergic reaction sa doxycycline kaya mas mainam kumonsulta sa ating mga Health Care Workers.

Kaya kung ikaw ay lumusong sa baha, magtungo na sa kanilang health center para sa libreng konsultasyon at gamot.
