This seminar seeks to deepen awareness on HIV prevention, transmission, treatment, and the importance of eliminating stigma. As misconceptions continue to persist despite medical advancements, this seminar aims to foster understanding, promote early detection, and encourage compassionate, informed engagement.

Per the Mayor's latest announcement, onsite classes are suspended on Tuesday, 25 November 2025.

The academic units shall make their own announcements regarding online modalities and other necessary adjustments. Offices onsite will also be open.

Work and classes, both onsite and online, will continue to be suspended tomorrow, November 11, Tuesday, to allow adequate time for the restoration of our two campuses and the respective households of all employees.

Staff are asked to report for a few hours to clean and restore your respective offices for the resumption of regular operations. Once your offices have been restored, you may go home or assist in the general campus clean-up.

A big thanks to all for your cooperation and support in keeping our school environment safe and orderly.

🦠 Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease caused by Leptospira bacteria, commonly spread to humans through contact with water or soil contaminated by the urine of infected animals like rodents.

😷 While many cases are mild and self-limiting, the infection can progress to severe forms, potentially causing dangerous effects like kidney failure, liver damage (jaundice), and meningitis. Severe leptospirosis, sometimes called Weil's disease, can be fatal without timely medical attention.

💊 Prescribed antibiotics such as doxycycline or penicillin are the primary medication used for treatment, with early administration being crucial to reduce the severity and duration of the illness.
